Overview of the Bodington System
What Is It?
The Bodington System is a software tool that can be used, in conjunction with a database product, to implement an interactive web site. Its original purpose was to implement a virtual learning environment for the University of Leeds - Bodington Common - but it could be used as the basis for other kinds of interactive site. It would more correctly be decribed as an application server since modules can be plugged into it to implement different functionality.
The Bodington system has some features like a multi-user operating system but one that is accessed via a world wide web interface.
